About Vonney Ball

Born in the U.K my practice has spanned over 30 years. I have exhibited both Internationally and locally, in my current hometown of Auckland, New Zealand, - and in England.  Two places I call home.

I began my practise in ceramics in the early 80's after graduating from Middlesex University in the U.K, with early inspiration from the Bloomsbury Group.

In late 1995 I emigrated to New Zealand with my family, where I have found much inspiration from my new country in the beautiful landscape which has influenced new works including paintings.I hope you enjoy looking at this website and I look forward to receiving your feedback . 

Vonney Ball

In 2009 Vonney Ball undertook her Masters in Visual Art at AUT and her practise has become increasingly interdisciplinary, now incorporating installation - a natural progression from her object making and ceramics background. Still true to her roots in ceramics she has created larger-scale, site specific installations which recontextualise her vases and ceramics to create often, immersive and kinetic experiences for the viewer. -
